Clear

Way!
he
recreated 28th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry is a New England- based
Civil War living history organization founded in 1984 to portray the
fighting men of the fabled "Faugh a Ballagh" 4th Regiment of the
legendary
Irish Brigade.
Our field impression is of a
battle-hardened, veteran unit
as it appeared during the Gettysburg campaign of summer 1863. We are
proud to be affiliated nationally with the Mifflin
Guard and regionally with the Army
of the
Potomac, Department of New England.
Our 2010 Campaign Schedule
From the cotton fields
of North Carolina to the hallowed ground of Gettysburg to the rocky
coast of Maine, the 28th Massachusetts honors the memory of the
original regiment at reenactments, parades and living history
encampments throughout the year. Check out our
events calendar for 2010.

Now for 150th Anniversary Reenactments!
For
more than 25 years, the recreated 28th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry
has been dedicated to keeping the memory of the original regiment
alive, but its efforts will intensify between 2011 and 2015 during our
nation's observance of the
Civil War Sesquicentennial. Major
anniversary cycles mean large-scale commemorations of key engagements,
such as First Bull Run, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville,
Gettysburg and the Overland Campaign of 1864. So, if you have
ever wanted to learn about Civil War history by living it, now is an
ideal time to get involved. The 28th is actively seeking new men to
join its ranks. Visit
our recruiting
office and see our new video.
